memoraid / legal
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-05-11
This Privacy Policy describes how Grigorii Korepanov (“we”, “us”, “our”), an individual based in Argentina, handles information in connection with the Memoraid mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Data stored on your device only
Memoraid is designed to keep your content local. The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to us:
- Flashcards you create (front text, back text, optional images)
- Decks and groups (names, cover images, settings)
- Study progress (attempts, correct answers, learned cards)
- Images you attach to cards, stored as files in the App’s private storage
- App preferences (language, theme)
We have no access to this data. We do not back it up, sync it, or store it on any server we operate.
2. Device-level backups
If you have enabled iCloud Backup (iOS) or Google Drive Backup (Android), your operating system may automatically include the App’s data in those backups. These backups are controlled by Apple or Google and are governed by their respective privacy policies. We do not have access to them.
3. Analytics and crash reporting
To detect bugs and improve the App, we use two third-party services that receive limited, anonymous technical data:
Mixpanel — anonymous product analytics. Events you trigger in the App (such as opening a pack or completing a study session), aggregated screen views and session duration, an anonymous device identifier regenerated per install, and basic device information (model, OS version, App version, language, country derived from IP).
Sentry — crash and error reporting. Crash stack traces and error logs, device model, OS version, App version, and an anonymous device identifier.
What we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier
- The content of your flashcards
- The content of images stored on your device
- Your contacts, photo library, precise location, or microphone data
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android). We do not request App Tracking Transparency permission on iOS.
Mixpanel and Sentry are independent data processors. Their handling of the data they receive is governed by their own privacy policies, available at mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy and sentry.io/privacy.
4. In-app purchases
The App offers optional in-app purchases: non-consumable content packs and consumable tips. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). We do not receive your payment method, billing address, or full identity. We only receive a transaction receipt from the store to confirm that a purchase was made. Refunds, billing disputes, and payment management are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective terms.
5. How we use this information
We use the limited analytics and crash data described above to detect and fix bugs, understand which features are used, measure App stability, and guide future development. We do not sell, rent, or trade any data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
6. Legal basis
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with similar laws, our legal basis for processing anonymous analytics and crash data is our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the App. The data is not personally identifiable, so individual rights such as access or erasure cannot be exercised against records that cannot be linked to you.
For users in Argentina, processing is conducted in compliance with Ley 25.326 de Protección de los Datos Personales. The data controller is Grigorii Korepanov, contactable at [email protected].
For California residents, you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
7. Data retention
Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by Mixpanel and Sentry according to their default retention policies (typically up to 12 months for Mixpanel events and up to 90 days for Sentry crash data). We do not retain copies of this data on our own infrastructure. Data stored locally on your device is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is rated 12+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected].
9. International transfers
Mixpanel and Sentry process data on infrastructure located in the United States and other countries. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of the limited anonymous data described above to these jurisdictions.
10. Security
We rely on Apple iOS and Google Android platform security for data stored on your device. Data transmitted to Mixpanel and Sentry is encrypted in transit using TLS. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your choices
To stop sending analytics and crash data to us, uninstall the App. We do not currently provide an in-app opt-out toggle; this may change in future versions. You can contact us at [email protected] with any privacy question, and we will respond within 30 days.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or App Store release notes. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
